The Art of Pisanki presented by The Polish Museum of America

The Des Plaines History Center will hold a special all-ages program onEaster traditions in Eastern Europe on April 4 from 1-4pm in the Visitor Center, 781 Pearson Street.  The event is free–donations will be accepted.  No reservations are needed. The event features several activities, including Easter egg decorating.  Visitors can make a simplified version of traditional egg decorations by carving into wax-coated eggs.  The project is free, and eggs will be available on a first come, first served basis.

 

The Polish Museum of America will provide a traditional egg decorating demonstration throughout the day, and will also have decorated wooden eggs and other gift items available for purchase. For more information about this program, call (847) 391-5399 or visit www.desplaineshistory.org
