Local organizations and businesses will be available to answer questions and distribute information about many health, caregiver and safety topics, including healthy eating, Medicare, senior services, medical supplies, home care, senior housing, financial planning and crime prevention. Some of the different organizations that are participating include Stickney Township Office on Aging, Stickney Public Health District Nursing and Behavioral Health Departments, AT&T, The American Red Cross, The Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s Office and the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.
Various screenings will also be offered at the event including blood pressure checks, cholesterol and diabetic screenings, and balance assessments. A presentation will be given by AT&T, and the American Red Cross will discuss the topic of Fall Prevention and Safety.
