Romantic Fairy Tales come alive June 21 – July 2, 2013 as a one-of-a-kind travel opportunity, The  Royal Wedding Tour celebrates a spectacular event in Polish history with the marriage of Poland’s Princess Jadwiga Jagiellonka amid grand Medieval pageantry, visits to historic sites and outstanding food and entertainment.

Hosted by noted Polish American Szopka Artist David Motak, this special tour features the betrothal of Poland’s beautiful young Princess Jadwiga to dashing young Duke George of Landshut, Bavaria.  While the original Royal Wedding actually took place in 1475 and was one of Medieval Europe’s most spectacular events, this special occasion is reenacted only every four years in the town of Landshut, Bavaria by over 3,000 costumed participants.

Retracing Princess Jadwiga’s Royal Wedding journey, the tour begins in historic Kraków, the birthplace of the Polish Princess, a member of Poland’s powerful Jagiellonian Dynasty.  Here tour participants will visit various landmarks including Wawel Royal Castle and Coronation Cathedral, St. Mary’s Basilica and other historic sites.  Guests will also experience Poland’s celebrated Medieval history through the impressive works of Polish master historic painter Jan Matejko and enjoy a special banquet in one of Kraków’s atmospheric Medieval cellar restaurants.

Traveling by luxury motor coach, guests will next tour the historic sites of Prague and Česky Krumlov in the Czech Republic where English speaking guides will introduce the Wedding travelers to historic landmarks, romantic meals, and special folklore and cultural events.  Guests will also be treated to a special tour of Prague’s Old Town aboard a privately chartered antique trolley complete with Czech folk music and mugs of frosty pilsner beer.

The Royal Wedding Tour will continue to Landshut, Bavaria, where participants will attend the lavish wedding events of Princess Jadwiga, including concerts, banquets, special events and special seating for the colorful ceremonial arrival of the Polish Court and the royal wedding party through the streets of historic Landshut amid much pop and fanfare.  Guests will also travel to the Bavarian Alps to tour the picturesque „fairy tale” Neuschwanstein Castle. And what would an old fashioned Polish wedding be without a second day or „poprawiny”?  Tour participants will enjoy this tradition with a private farewell banquet at a historic German hofbräuhaus.

Competitively priced at $3,966.00 per person round trip from Chicago/return from Munich, the 10-day tour includes deluxe hotels, escorted air conditioned luxury motor coach, two meals daily, city tours with English speaking guides, folk lore evenings and events, and special seating at Royal Wedding events in Landshut.
