PACC 'DO IT WITH POLAND’ EXHIBIT AT TECHWEEK TO FEATURE FIVE START-UP COMPANIES FROM POLAND

CHICAGO, IL (May 28, 2013) — The Polish American Chamber of Commerce (PACC) announced recently that five start-up companies from Poland will be featured as part of the Chamber’s exhibition lounge at this year’s Techweek, which will be held June 27-29 at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart. Organizational co-sponsors of the PACC’s „Do IT with Poland” exhibit include the Trade and Investment Section of Poland’s Embassy in Washington, DC; the US Consulate General in Krakow, Poland; Fragomen; Google for Entrepreneurs Krakow; and 4th Wave Consulting.

The five early-stage IT startup companies were selected as a result of a nationwide contest in Poland that was organized by Google for Entrepreneurs Krakow earlier this spring. They will participate in the June 27-29, 2013, Techweek conference and expo in Chicago, IL, and will compete for a $100,000 top prize at Techweek’s Startup City LAUNCH competition.  These innovative startup companies include ACE Stream, EgzoTech, Garden Mate, Nearbox, and Presspad.

According to Lucas Fuksa, PACC Board President, „Our Chamber is proud to present 'Do IT with Poland@Techweek,’ a collaborative effort between private businesses and public institutions in Poland and the United States to showcase the Information Technology sector in Poland, and represent the country and Chicago’s amazing Polish community at Techweek.”
