CHICAGO, IL – June 16, 2014 – Hit and Run 5K™- an all-new 5K fun-run comprised of mechanical obstacles, giant inflatables, dodge ball cannons, foam machines and continues it’s North American tour with a race in CHICAGO on JULY 5, 2014 at Toyota Park. On race day waves start at 9am with a new wave beginning every 30minutes.
Race organizers are ecstatic to be bringing this race experience to Illinois for the first time ever. After Hit and Run 5K’s YouTube video went viral last year, people from all over the world have requested that the race schedule events in their cities. The game showinspired obstacle run is working to fulfill those requests, with 25 races planned for 2014, several of which are now open for registration.
Registration is NOW OPEN for the Chicago race, which brings with it eight giant obstacles, custom designed for a new experience unlike any other adventure race.
“It would appear that obstacle races these days are out to kill people. Hit and Run 5K isout to make them laugh, perhaps until it hurts,” said Brandon Spevak, marketing directorat Hit and Run 5K. “People who have already experienced the Hit and Run Experience can’t say enough about the unique, family-friendly fun that this 5K provides”, said Spevak.
With no winners or official times, Hit and Run 5K celebrates camaraderie, not competition. The race focuses on friends laughing together as they confront larger-thanlife obstacles, like the “Wobble Walk,” “Slippery Slopes,” and the “Whacking Wall.”
