“Art for Heart 2013”

 .CHICAGO—September 5, 2013— Following the successful ART FOR HEART show in October 2012, the Polish Museum of America and Gift from the Heart Foundation (Dar Serca) are teaming up to present ART FOR HEART 2013, with an Opening Gala September 21st, and a Networking Evening September 25th.

 This third annual event provides a unique opportunity for Chicago’s talented Polish and Polish-American artists to share their works with the community;
and for the artists and the community to together support two important Chicago foundations.
Individuals of all nationalities are invited to the Exhibit Opening, which will be held Saturday, September 21st from 7 to 11pm, in the Polish Museum of America’s Great Hall.
Guests will have the chance to meet renowned contemporary Polish artists, and view and even purchase their works; all while enjoying great music, appetizers, a raffle, and a cash bar. There  will be painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelry designers, and more!

Everyone is also invited to the open Networking Evening, Wednesday, September 25thfrom 6 to 10pm, also in the Polish Museum of America Great Hall. This event promises interesting people from many industries and organizations in the beautiful setting of contemporary art; as well as appetizers, music and a cash bar. There will be an opportunity to purchase the beautiful works as well.

The Polish Museum of America is located at 984 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL. 

Tickets will be $10, and will only be available at the door. All original artwork, as well as less expensive prints, will be available for sale. Souvenir program books will be available (while supplies last) featuring the hosting foundations, all the artists and the official Art for Heart 2013 sponsors. 100% of proceeds will jointly benefit Gift from the Heart Foundation (Dar Serca) and The Polish Museum of America.

Gift from the Heart Foundation, or Dar Serca, is a non-profit 501 (c) organization that helps children with disabilities receive the medical treatment that they urgently need. The Foundation brings seriously ill and disabled children from European countries to the US and helps them receive high-quality medical care and treatments that are unattainable in their home countries. Over the past 20 years, Gift from the Heart Foundation has helped several hundred children receive modern medical treatments from the highest-quality clinics in the United States. 

The Polish Museum of America is one of the oldest and largest ethnic museums in the United States and offers visitors a range of exhibits, resources and activities related to Polish history, culture and heritage, as well as Polish-American history. Its all-inclusive exhibits and cultural events are both educational and entertaining while supporting the entire community. It’s Library and extensive Archives have rendered invaluable services to historians, researchers,
students and genealogists.
