Victor Forys, M.D., candidate for congress in the fifth congressional district, today announced having raised over $160,000 by the reporting deadline which was December 31st, placing him in the top three candidates in terms of fundraising for the special election to be held to replace Rahm Emmanuel in Congress.

Dr. Forys is one of the most well known celebrities in the Polish community in Chicago which makes up the largest ethnic group on the Northwest Side of Chicago. More Polish people live on Chicago's Northwest Side than in Warsaw, Poland.
Additionally Dr. Forys has over 10,000 patients, most of whom live in the Fifth Congressional District and are registered to vote.
