CHICAGO,
October 27, 2008 — As part of ongoing efforts to provide customers with services that are relevant and convenient to them, AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced a new service support line available to Polish-speakers throughout the Midwest region.

The new service line provides billing and technical support, and offers the ability to order AT&T products and services in the customers’ native language. AT&T's Polish-speaking customers will be able to dial 1-800-417-1588 to access additional support services in-language, including U-Verse and AT&T Wireless.

“The Midwest is home to more than a third of the country’s Polish-speaking population, and a big part of what we do as a company is connecting our customers to their world, in-language,” said David Pojtinger, director, Midwest Consumer Language Channel, AT&T. “Through our new Polish support line we offer valuable services that help our customers with their daily lives. We make it easier for them to stay connected to their world, while at the same time continue to grow our relationship with this important consumer group.”

The call center’s new offering plays a key role in servicing AT&T’s Polish customer base in the Midwest. Customers will be able to order new services, get answers to their billing questions, and request service assistance in their native tongue.

The call center for the Midwest region covers Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, and includes all smaller cities and communities with large Polish-speaking populations within AT&T's service territory.

Customers who call the 1-800-417-1588 service support line can request a live Polish-speaking representative to provide them with information regarding home phone, cellular phone, television, and Internet services.

The call center’s new Polish-support line is another example of AT&T's commitment to offer products and services that are relevant to customers and present and support those services in a way that is respectful of customers’ cultures. AT&T’s products and services truly reflect its diverse customer base.

Warsaw. Launched last year, TVP Info serves as the public broadcaster’s news channel, covering the latest stories from Poland and around the world with highly-watched shows including “Telekurier - Bliżej Ciebie” and “Raport z Polski.”

AT&T U-verse packages include local television affiliates where available, and offer customers hundreds of hours of free and paid Video on Demand programming, including a wide selection of movies, children’s programs and events, and popular new releases.
