On Monday, August 25^th, Jagermeister-sponsored, Fritz's Polka Band (FPB) from Verona, NY, will perform again at the New York State Fair in Syracuse, NY.  FPB will be doing three (3) different shows, scheduled for 11am, 1pm, and 3pm in the International Building.

"We've been performing at the New York State Fair for over 10 years, and are really excited about being there again," said Fritz Scherz, band leader of Fritz's Polka Band.  “I encourage people to get there early for our performances and grab a seat, as last year we performed to a standing room only crowd for each show.  This is such a great family event, as we typically see people in the audience ranging from little infants to people well over 80 years old.  We're proud to be bringing generations together!”

Fritz's Polka Band has been performing for over 29 years, and made history in 1999, when they became the first polka band to perform at a Woodstock Festival in Rome, NY.  On September 15, 2007, FPB made history again by becoming the first polka band to perform at the Metropolitan Club in New York City.  FPB has made 16 recordings.  FPB even appears on "The Manchurian Candidate" DVD which was released in July 2004.  FPB was recently nominated for Best Original Song (Walter’s Polka) by the Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame.
