Clerk Dorothy Brown Earns Prestigious Chicago-Kent College of Law Professional Achievement Award

(CHICAGO) -- Honorable Dorothy Brown, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County, receives the 2009 Chicago-Kent College of Law Professional Achievement Award from Dean Harold J. Krent of the Chicago-Kent College of Law. Clerk Brown was recognized by the Chicago-Kent College of Law Alumni Association, Illinois Institute of Technology, for her stellar professional accomplishments and outstanding contributions to the legal community. Clerk Brown graduated from Chicago-Kent with honors in 1996. She is the first African American elected to the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County, which is one of the largest court systems in the world. Clerk Brown, who is currently serving her third term in office, holds a law degree, an MBA and is a Certified Public Accountant.
